Ugboaja<\/strong>, religiosa de la congregaci\u00f3n <strong>Hijas de Mar\u00eda Madre de Misericordia<\/strong>, fue detenida por agentes del <strong>Servicio de Inmigraci\u00f3n y Control de Aduanas (ICE)<\/strong> mientras caminaba hacia una iglesia para participar en una misa en <strong>McAllen, Texas<\/strong>, ciudad ubicada cerca de la frontera con M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La religiosa recuper\u00f3 su libertad pocas horas despu\u00e9s, luego de gestiones realizadas por legisladores del sur de Texas, tanto del Partido Dem\u00f3crata como del Partido Republicano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de su labor pastoral, la hermana Leticia se desempe\u00f1a como <strong>enfermera titulada<\/strong> en el <strong>South Texas Health System<\/strong> y colabora como <strong>Ministra Extraordinaria de la Sagrada Comuni\u00f3n<\/strong> en la iglesia <strong>Our Lady of Sorrows<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>Di\u00f3cesis de Brownsville<\/strong> confirm\u00f3 que la religiosa ya regres\u00f3 a su hogar y expres\u00f3 su agradecimiento a los representantes locales que intercedieron ante el <strong>Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS)<\/strong> para facilitar su liberaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hasta el momento, <strong>ni el DHS ni el ICE han explicado p\u00fablicamente las razones de la detenci\u00f3n<\/strong>, por lo que se desconoce el motivo que origin\u00f3 el procedimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El caso ha generado reacciones entre distintos sectores de la comunidad y mantiene la
