El hecho ocurri\u00f3 aproximadamente a las 17:00 horas, en un sector cercano al r\u00edo que delimita territorio salvadore\u00f1o y guatemalteco.<br>De acuerdo con la informaci\u00f3n preliminar, las autoridades correspondientes activaron de inmediato el procedimiento institucional y mantienen en desarrollo las investigaciones para esclarecer las circunstancias en las que ocurri\u00f3 el suceso.<br>La Fuerza Armada confirm\u00f3 que el militar falleci\u00f3 en cumplimiento del deber.
