100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala.<\/strong> \u2014 El <strong>ministro de Gobernaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, <strong>Marco Antonio Villeda<\/strong>, confirm\u00f3 este domingo <strong>18 de enero de 2026<\/strong> que <strong>siete agentes de la Polic\u00eda Nacional Civil (PNC)<\/strong> fallecieron como consecuencia de <strong>ataques armados directos<\/strong>, mientras que <strong>diez polic\u00edas resultaron heridos<\/strong>, seg\u00fan el balance oficial m\u00e1s reciente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante una declaraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica, el funcionario detall\u00f3 que, en el marco de los operativos desplegados tras los ataques, las fuerzas de seguridad <strong>capturaron a siete presuntos sicarios<\/strong>, y <strong>uno de ellos falleci\u00f3<\/strong> durante los hechos, sin brindar mayores detalles sobre las circunstancias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Villeda expres\u00f3 <strong>mensajes de pesar y reconocimiento<\/strong> hacia los agentes fallecidos, a quienes calific\u00f3 como <strong>servidores p\u00fablicos que perdieron la vida en el cumplimiento de su deber<\/strong>, al tiempo que reiter\u00f3 el compromiso del Estado de <strong>continuar las acciones de seguridad<\/strong> para restablecer el orden y llevar ante la justicia a los responsables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las autoridades mantienen <strong>operativos de seguridad reforzados<\/strong> y contin\u00faan las <strong>investigaciones<\/strong> para esclarecer plenamente los hechos y prevenir nuevos ataques contra las fuerzas del orden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
